follow along as I get myself into all sorts of trouble

I was watching Rumble in the Bronx the other day and if you’ve seen it you know that during the end credits there is a gag reel showing some of the funny things that happen and also the dangerous stunts that are performed. Recently, I also watched Chocolate, a Thai action movie with advanced stunt and fight choreography. Like Rumble in the Bronx, they showed a gag reel showcasing the fighting and stunts. All I have to say is wow. These stunt people seriously put themselves into some serious situations when they agree to a choreographed fight.

Watching these clips makes you appreciate the abuse they put their bodies through in order for you to enjoy an action-packed movie. With demand higher than ever for even more outlandish and altogether superhuman stunts, I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a shortage of people willing to subject themselves to this unique brand of self-torture. That being said, I don’t actually believe it myself. There will always be people wanting to get their name out there and to be the next Jackie Chan or Jet Li. In order for them to do so, they have to agree to do these insane stunts.

Would I be willing to do it? I don’t think I’d want to fall on my head if the scene required it, but some of those stunts actually look fun. Then again, I’m nuts and love all things Martial Arts so… yeah. Here’s the stunt clip from Chocolate so that you understand the insanity required to do these things.

And as an added bonus: A clip of me getting kicked in the face about a year ago.

I found this file probably a couple of years ago but didn’t have a need to edit it until this year when I made the website for Lindsay’s French classes. The flash program is fairly simple in design and pretty straight forward as far as functionality. It’s design premise is geared more towards classroom review [...]

Spam-A-Lot

In my ever constant vigilance against comment and blog spam, I stumbled across Project Honeypot and found some interesting techniques to prevent spambots from harvesting your email. The technique is called “Address Munging” and there are many ways to implement email obfuscation. Apparently, some of these techniques will block up to 85% of the current [...]
