I found this file probably a couple of years ago but didn’t have a need to edit it until this year when I made the website for Lindsay’s French classes. The flash program is fairly simple in design and pretty straight forward as far as functionality. It’s design premise is geared more towards classroom review but can be used by the independent student.
The flash game loads a separate text file which holds all of the necessary questions, answers and point values. Naturally, you can change all of these values to whatever you deem important.
For those who are curious, it has been recoded to look for the text file in a relative path structure instead of just assuming the file is in the same (root) folder as the jeopardy game. Apparently, flash has a hard time finding paths with php/SQL driven sites like joomla and wordpress.
In any case, jeopardy works just as well outside of the web as an executable file as in the web as an embedded object (swf).
For a demo, click here and type in “chp2″ without the quotes.
| Flash Executable (.exe) | Flash File (.swf) | Required Text File |
|---|---|---|
| EXE File | SWF File (right click “save-as”) | TXT File (right click “save-as”) |
Please Note:
The text file must be in the same folder as the jeopardy file.
Just a word of mention. Please post comments and any suggestions you might have regarding this game! I look forward to improving upon the original design of the maker!
